Whether she liked it or not, Jessica Simpson was in desperate need of a rude awakening when it was time to lose the baby weight.
As the new Weight Watchers spokeswoman, the 32-year-old celebrity mom and Fashion Star mentor has finally put herself back in the spotlight since giving birth to her daughter Maxwell Drew Johnson, and confesses losing her baby weight was something that was hard for her to face.
"The easiest way to get motivated is to strip naked and look in the mirror," Simpson said to Access Hollywood on Monday, following her post-baby debut on Katie Couric's new show, Katie.
The reality star and multi-million dollar fashion mogul revealed she has lost 40 pounds thus far, but claims, "It's not fun to be talked about. It's not fun to be judged."
For her role as a spokeswoman for the diet program, Simpson is reportedly raking in $4 million, but it wasn’t as ideal as it sounds for the new mom.
"The very first time I got on the scale in my Weight Watchers meeting, my heart was pounding because I had no idea how much I weighed," Simpson said. "I was always the girl who stood on the scale backwards because I didn't want to face it."
Nowadays, the soon-to-be Mrs. Eric Johnson could have less problems having the scale since she’s only 10 pounds away from her pre-baby weight.
