It was one of the movies of the year, and all those involved could have been forgiven if they had just gone and had a nice long rest after the success of 'The Hunger Games', however the stars are back grafting away as the sequel 'Catching Fire' began filming yesterday.
Work on the movie is taking place in locations near Atlanta, Georgia before heading off to Hawaii, Lionsgate, the studio behind 'Catching Fire' aim to finish up shooting in late December, just in time for Christmas.
Stars of the first movie Jennifer Lawrence, Woody Harrelson, Liam Hemsworth, Josh Hutcherson, Donald Sutherland and Lenny Kravitz will return, and they'll be joined by Sam Claflin, Philip Seymour Hoffman and Jeffrey Wright. It will be directed by Francis Lawrence.

Lionsgate’s President of Production Eric Feig said: “We are so excited to be embarking on this adventure with Francis Lawrence, who has already exhibited immense creative vision and resourcefulness in casting the film and planning its look and feel. The stakes are raised in every way in this second story, and we are thrilled to get the production underway in these perfect locations, with our excellent returning cast and some world class actors in new roles.”
Unfortunately we'll have to wait over a year for the next installment in the story of Katniss Everdeen (Lawrence), although you can see her soon in new horror movie 'The House At The End of The Street'.
