Looks like Niall Horan shouldn't hold out for Demi Lovato to call him for a date as the X Factor star was spotted out with her former boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama in Los Angeles on Sunday, enjoying a romantic night at exclusive restaurant El Torito in Sherman Oaks.
The former couple, who have a 12-year age gap, dated in 2010; but have been spotted on a string of nights out recently sparking speculation they could be back on.
As well as spending time together the couple have also been swapping mushy messages on Twitter, with the That 70s Show star tweeting on Demi's birthday: “Feliz Cumpleaños to my angel @ddlovato, U continue 2 make me proud. U are the hero this generation it’s been waiting 4! With & by you always.”
The X Factor star replied: “@WValderrama You are amazing…Thank you so much love. You mean the world to me.”
Strangely the tweet was soon deleted – did Demi worry she had said too much? Only two days after their loving exchange, the couple were spotted catching a latenight snack at The Cheesecake Factory in Hollywood.

Earlier this year Wilmer admitted the couple were still best friends despite their break up. He said, according the the MailOnline: “We were really just best friends. She's amazing, she's a great human being.
“And I'm so proud of her considering all of the different obstacles and everything she's been through.”
Lovato has had a difficult time in her personal life of late, after checking into rehab last year and it seems Wilmer was there to support her every inch of the way.
He added: “I was very proud to be there for her when she needed me, and she was there for me a number of times too. And we have a great friendship.”
Friends or more than that? We would like to see them back together, they make a great couple!
