The Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton and Prince William have been hailed as “global superstars” as they landed in Singapore to begin their royal tour in honour of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee today.
The couple, who over the next nine days will also tour Malaysia, the Solomon Islands and Tuvalu, were met by Antony Phillipson, British high commissioner to Singapore at Singapore Changu airport.
Ahead of the couple's arrival he said, according to the Press Association: "Over the last few weeks, as we've been able to tell people more and more about the visit, there's been a mounting excitement.
“This is a couple who are global superstars and make the British feel very, very good about themselves - that's as true in Singapore as anywhere else."
As ever all eyes were on the Duchess' fashion choice for her arrival and despite the long flight looked fresh and rested as she emerged in a kimono-style pink Jenny Packham dress with orchid detail.

The choice is believed to be in honour of their first engagement at an orchid naming ceremony at Singapore's National Orchid Garden. As well as seeing an orchid named for William's late mother, Princess Diana before she died, the couple will also be honoured with their own orchid named Vanda William Catherine.
The royal couple were also greeted by Senior Parliamentary Secretary for the Ministry of Defence Dr Maliki Osman and his wife who the Duchess shared her fashion tips with.
A delighted Mrs Osman told The Mirror: "They are such a lovely couple, so affable.
"Kate was asking me about my children, what their ages are."
She went on: "We talked about the UK and particularly about shopping at Bicester. I said I've been there and I love it and she said she does as well. She said it's great how everything is so contained.”
Dr Osman added that it was an honour that the couple were starting their trip in Singapore and the couple were “excited” to finally arrive.
He explained: "William said he has friends here and he's been told there are lots of wonderful things to see.
"They said they were excited to be here and looking forward to the visit."
Looks like the royal couple are a hit wherever they go?
