They may have won medals at the Olympics this summer, but the Fierce Five can still have their moments.
Olympic gymnasts McKayla Maroney and Aly Raisman both suffered injuries while performing on uneven bars on Kellogg’s Tour of Gymnastics in Ontario, Calif., this past weekend.
Maroney – who won a gold and a silver medal in the 2012 London Olympics – had a fall after a dismount from the bars. Paramedics carried the 2011 world vault champion out of the venue.
Raisman – who won two gold medals and a bronze at the Olympics – fell when she couldn’t land a Shaposhnikova (a move made famous by gymnast Natalia Shaposhnikova).
According to reports, Raisman fell on her stomach, landing on the arena’s concrete floor, which was not padded. But she was able to walk out of the venue on her own.
Neither gymnast was a part of the show’s finale, where they were both lifted into the air, holding up the iconic five Olympics rings.
A fan in the audience video tapped their falls, which was posted on YouTube. The video can be seen below.
