Blake Lively may be a California girl, while Ryan Reynolds is a Canadian, but the happy couple still wanted their Southern wedding to be held at a place that's close to their hearts.
To help Lively, 25, and Reynolds, 35, plant their big intimate day was Martha Stewart’s team and wedding planner Tara Guérard of Soiree in Charleston, North Carolina, to have a “personalized party” for their family “in a rustic barn,” according to Martha Stewart Weddings.
"From the heartfelt ceremony to the fun-filled carnival hour and elegant reception, it was a truly enchanting celebration," according to the publication, which will provide even more details in its December issue.
The private nuptials were at Boone Hall Plantation in Mt. Pleasant, S.C., Sunday in the outskirts of the Charleston (originally named Charles Towne).
"Ryan, who has been a long-time fan of Charleston, chose to mark this special occasion in one of his favorite towns," according to the magazine.
The blushing bride and her bridesmaids marched down the aisle in a custom Marchesa gowns designed by the Gossip Girl’s pals, Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig, her longtime friend Christian Louboutin designed their shoes for Lively's big day.
The handsome groom and his groomsmen were clad in Burberry suit with custom leather suspenders designed by Ryan’s pal Christopher Bailey.
The newlyweds exchanged rings by Hollywood’s famous jewelry designer Lorraine Schwartz.
Their wedding reception was the same location as where The Notebook was filmed.
According to E! Online, the new Mr. and Mrs. Reynolds are still in South Carolina, but will commence their honeymoon later this week.
