Miley Cyrus is allegedly a suspect in a criminal battery case, after leaping to the defence of fiance Liam Hemsworth in a nightclub.
According to TMZ, the 'victim' filed a police report early morning yesterday with the LAPD, saying he and his friends were sitting behind the loved-up couple when a heated exchange of words turned physical.

It is claimed that Hemsworth got in the accuser's face before Miley jumped in the middle in an attempt to break it up.
However, she also apparently pushed him away and struck him in the face. There were no visible injuries.
A witness who was also in attendance at the Beacher's Madhouse tells the site that he saw the row but that Cyrus never threw a punch.
Furthermore, club host Jeff Beacher tells Gossip Cop that the so-called victim is "making up a story".
Entertainmentwise have contacted representatives for the couple and are awaiting a response.
