In a recent report, Katy Perry was said to have been caught ‘drunk-dialling’ her ex-husband Russell Brand over problems with her new rumoured beau John Mayer.
The ‘California Gurls’ singer was reported to have split from Mayer after he sent her a ‘break-up email’, but this rumours seemed to have been quashed when the pair were seen together following last Thursday’s MTV Video Music Awards.

But still, the National Enquirer has reported that a close friend of the singer told them that Katy was left ‘distressed’ over the split, and now the British comedian is seriously worried about her.
“Katy has been hitting the booze and then calling Russell in a state of distress,” the insider told the tabloid.
“Russell still cares deeply for her, and he’s furious that she was treated so badly, so he’s trying to comfort her,” they continued.
A source accused Mayer of playing “mind games” with Katy that forced her to “dump him” but she “still feels utterly used”.
Now, Katy has allegedly turned to her pals – including Rihanna and Robert Pattinson – for support. A source close to Katy has told Gossip Cop that the National Enquirer’s story was “inaccurate”.
