She hasn't been too lucky with men, having divorced from lascivious lothario Russell Brand and more recently being dumped by playboy and serial heart breaker John Mayer... but now it has emerged that Katy just won't learn her lesson as she continues to drunkenly text the latter.
The Firework hitmaker was abruptly dumped by Mayer after a brief fling, where apparently he became quickly bored after getting what he wanted, if you know what we mean. But it looks as though Miss Perry is not taking the rejection very well and continues to keep in contact with the player.
A source close to Katy revealed that the divorced pop star is far from over her break-up with the musician, who has been romantically involved with Jennifer Aniston and Cameron Diaz to name a few. They claimed Katy has been ''texting John late at night asking him to take her back.''
The insider revealed, “She’s been really depressed and needs attention,” and added, “she really liked him and thought it was going to be something serious,” the NY Daily News reports.
The 'Wide Awake' songstress reportedly gave Mayer the silent treatment after he dumped her in early August, but couldn't keep the silent treatment up for long as she tried to turn up to a party he was supposedly attending by 'accident.'
The brunette bombshell arrived at the Shore Bar in Santa Monica (bunny boiler style) where a pal of John's was hosting a birthday bash, but his friends spotted her before he arrived, making him purposefully miss his friend's birthday.
“He purposely skipped his own friend’s birthday so he wouldn’t have to run into her that night,” the insider revealed.
“She has been calling and drunk-texting him even after her friends have told her not to,” claims the source, adding that Katy's been trying ''to make him jealous'' by chilling with other blokes. Get a grip, Katy!
Mayer previously broke the heart of Taylor Swift, who penned the track 'Dear John,' about his lothario ways. Let's hope Katy doesn't get any ideas...
