Miley Cyrus lopped off her luscious locks not through loathing but lovingly. That's the latest news on the 'Hannah Montana' stars ever changing barnet.
Apparently her new look isn't due to wanting to be the lovechild of Jedward and Annie Lennox, nor is the drastic cut a sign that the star is troubled, that would just be too Britney for our Miley.
No it's been done because the star is "in a good place" and is at a bit of a loose end until her new album comes out (we can tell that Miles from how often you've been hanging off Liam Hemsworth).
A source told HollywoodLife: "Her new look is solely devoted to trying something new, she isn’t doing it for her new album, a film role or just to scare people”

They added: “She legitimately likes the look and has looked forward to changing things up for a while. And now that she isn’t on a television series or anything that will keep her with the same look this was the time to do things,
"The long hair was just becoming a burden and she is in a good place now with being engaged and wants to make sure that she was able to do this impulse of hers.”
In fact, you don't have to hear how much Miley's mane is loved by her from a source as she told People:“It’s so easy [to manage], you know. I love it. I feel really me and it’s good.”
In fact the only drawback for Ms Cyrus is that people won't stop blathering on about it, sources included.
