Kanye West and Kim Kardashian may have only started dating at the start of this year but it was clear the rapper had feelings for the reality star for some time.
West's former girlfriend Amber Rose has previously claimed that Kim cheated on her then boyfriend Reggie Bush, and she may have been telling the truth as TMZ reports that the rapper declared his undying love for Kardashian back in 2009.
West penned lyrics in the verse for Keri Hilson's track 'Knock You Down', in which he indirectly references his current girlfriend and her then boyfriend.

In the track, Kanye raps, "You was always the cheerleader of my dreams. To seem to only date the head of football teams. And I was the class clown that always kept you laughing. We were never meant to be, baby we just happened".
Later, he sings, "You should leave your boyfriend now".
According to TMZ say sources "extremely close to Kanye" have said that 'Knock You Down' is just one of many references Kanye makes to Kim in his music over the years.
After Kanye and Kim went public with their relationship back in March, the rapper referenced her ex-husband Kris Humphries on his track 'Theraflu'.
West sang, "And I'll admit I fell in love with Kim, around the same time she had fell in love with him. Well that's cool, baby girl, do your thing. Lucky I ain't have Jay drop him from the team".
Whatever happened between Kanye and Kim it's clear that the pair are hardly ever apart after the rapper pulled out of attending last night's MTV VMAs because Kim was away in New York!
