The hottest musicians in the world put their glad rags on to attend the MTV Video Music Awards last night, so we've done a round up on the best dressed starlets to grace the red carpet.
First off, glamazon Katy Perry went all out as per usual in a stunning floor length Elie Saab gown which showed off a little more than we'd bargained for with a plunging neckline and sheer train, exposing the singers hot pins and panties.
The subtly provocative dress featured blue and red floral abstract designs and was one of the most unusual yet stylish numbers of the night. Katy played up to the vampyness with her raven hair styled in retro slick waves, a modern take on a charcoal smokey eye and crucifix earrings to top it off.
Next up is Katy's BFF, Rihanna, who looked like an angel of the night in a floor length white dress which featured a scooped back and side cut out panels, showing off some flesh RiRi style. The We Found Love singer also took the opportunity to flaunt her new pixie cropped hairstyle, and stamped the look with her signature sexy style by adding a slick of red lippie.

Miley Cyrus also made our best dressed list of the VMA's, despite styling her chopped crop into a Jedward-esque quiff along with singer Pink, (It's a quiff off!) and revealed her incredible bod in a beautiful semi-sheer plunging black gown, styled out with silver punky accessories. Talking of her similar hairdo to Pink's, Miley angrily tweeted last night: ''Woahhj 2 girls have blonde short hair! The whole world should go in to panic mode. Redickkkk.''
But Emma Watson stole the show catwalk style in a bold Peter Pilotto two piece ensemble from the Resort 2012 collection consisting of a fiery orange top emblazoned with geometric shapes and mesh panelling teamed with an abstract colourful print structured skirt which accentuated Emma's gorgeous figure and tiny waist.
