Are Elton John And Madonna Friends Again?

Despite having been at war all month, Elton John and Madonna have been spotted chatting and even hugging in a restaurant in the South of France.

The legendary singer and songwriter took a pop at the Queen of Pop in an interview, after her disastrous tour in support of her new album MDNA was hit by yet another controversy.

Speaking to Australian TV show Sunday Night, he said "Why is she such a nightmare? Sorry, her career is over. Her tour has been a disaster and it couldn't happen to a bigger ****... she looks like a f***ing fairground stripper."

Not a fan then! Or is he?

Madonna recently hit back, dedicating a performance of the song 'Masterpiece', from her film W.E., which beat Elton to a Golden Globe this year.

But as she was giving the dedication, she said “I know he’s a big fan of it. And I know he’s a big fan of mine. And you know? I forgive him. Gotta start somewhere.”

And if reports by The Sun are to be believed, these two titans of popular music are back on speaking terms, and may even be friends again.

A source claims to have seen the pair bump into each other in La Petite Maison, where Elton is a known regular, as Madonna came in to eat before a show.

Apparently "Just as Elton was leaving, he went over to talk to Madonna and they were laughing and smiling.They even hugged each other."

Friends again, then?
