So far Heidi Klum and Seals split has remained relatively stress-free in comparision to other messy celeb break-ups but with Seal hinting that the reason for the divorce was his wife's cheating things have started to get heated...
The singer seemed to imply last week that Heidi's romance with her bodyguard was the catalyst for their shock split, as he told TMZ:
"I would have preferred Heidi show a little bit more class, and at least wait until we separated first before deciding to fornicate with the help, as it were."
"I guess you now have the answer you’ve been looking for for the past seven months."
Oooh! Now though, after Heidi's camp refuted his claims, Seal has hit back saying he never made for his comment to imply his estranged wife cheated during their marriage!
A spokesman for the star has released a statement to clear thinngs up:
"Seal would like to clarify that he was not implying his wife was cheating while they were together, but he was merely pointing out that their separation and divorce were not final and they are still legally married," the spokesperson said.
An insider revealed the singer's words may have come across the way they did because he was suffering from exhaustion. They told Us Weekly:
"These guys [TMZ] bombarded him and were in his face. He was exhausted, which is why he wants to clarify what he said. He doesn't like now being made into the bad guy here - he always loved and cared for Heidi."
It sounds like poor Seal still cares for Heidi and her feelings as he released his statement on the heels of an angry comment from his wife's rep who told The Sun: "It’s sad Seal has to resort to this and spread untruths about the mother of his children."
Today (September 3), Heidi went one step further releasing a to-the-point statement to People, saying she'd "moved on":
“I cherish all of the great memories Seal and I created together over the years,”
“Our separation was based on issues between the two of us, Seal has moved on and so have I. My priority has and continues to be protecting and providing for our children.”
Aw is anyone else feeling pretty sorry for Seal right now?!
