Veteran performer Max Byrgaves has passed away at the age of 89.
The entertainer was well known as a comedian, actor and singer. His famous catchphrase was "I wanna tell ou a story".
He made his name on radio show Educating Archie, which he wrote with Eric Sykes. He also performed with Judy Garland and enjoyed a five-month Broadway stint.
His agent Johnny Mans said: "We have lost one of the best entertainers that Britain has ever produced.
"He was a friend to everyone... there were no airs and graces."
He had been suffering from Alzheimer's Disease.
His wife Blossom Murray passed away last year.
