Lindsay Lohan has brushed off claims that she owes over $46,000 for an unpaid bill at the Chateau Marmont and now the hotel bosses have admitted that they are "horrified" that the document had been leaked.
The 'Mean Girls' actress had stayed at Chateau Marmont in Hollywood for a period of 47 days throughout June and July, where she splashed out on the mini-bar, restaurant as well as 49 packs of cigarettes and according to the released letter, Lindsay was banned from the exclusive venue after failing to pay her bill.
The hotel manager Philip Pavel wrote to Lindsay about the unpaid $46,350 debt and told the actress that she was unwelcome at the hotel until she sorts out the bill.
Now the Beverly Hills haunt has been left red-faced after a copy of the letter leaked online.
Yesterday, they released a statement which said: "Chateau Marmont places guest privacy as a core value and upholds this privacy with paramount importance. After investigation, it appears that a private correspondence between Chateau Marmont's general manager and Miss Lohan was leaked by a member of her entourage.
"We are as horrified, disappointed and troubled by this occurrence as Miss Lohan surely is. Obviously, this is a private matter between one of our guests and the hotel and we will continue to treat it as such."
Meanwhile, Lindsay has allegedly insisted that any unpaid bills at Chateau Marmont are down to production bosses for her TV film 'Liz & Dick'.
