The MTV Video Music Awards 2012 are taking place next Thursday (September 6) and Calvin Harris and X Factor USA judge Demi Lovato have now been confirmed to provide a pre-show soundtrack to the hour long show.
The Scottish star, alongside Demi, will warm-up the crowd before the all-important event takes place, with the X Factor judge singing latest single ‘Give Your Heart A Break’, before performers such as One Direction, Rihanna and Taylor Swift take to the stage for the massive event.
The pre-show shenanigans will allow fans to witness some backstage action as well as see some of the biggest red carpet names in pop arriving at the music extravaganza.
The VMA’s have seen some great moments in the past and some maybe not so great moments (looking at you, Kanye!) and this year is set to be no different as we can expect to see some massive names take to that all-important stage.
However, amongst the many amazing performances lined up, for once it seems that Justin Bieber has NOT been invited to do his thing on the stage.
The teen heart-throb recently took to Twitter to say: “I would perform. always ready. #vmas #votebieber,”
But as far as we know, still no news on a Biebs’ performance. Boooo...get posting that hashtag, Beliebers!
