Coldplay are set to take 12 month hiatus following their recent world tour as Chris Martin and his wife Gwyneth Paltrow make plans to move to Los Angeles from their London home.
The singer, who married the Hollywood actress back in 2003, has reportedly been planning to move his family across the pond for some time.
"Chris and Gwyneth have wanted to move to Los Angeles for a while, " a source told Radar Online. "Gwyneth spends a lot time between the UK and the U.S. and she's exhausted.
"The purpose of buying the lavish home in Brentwood was to make that a semi-permanent base."
Martin is said to be more than willing to give the move a chance as he has always "loved" the city.
"Gwyneth spends a lot of time away from her mom, Blythe and wants to be closer to her as she gets older," the insider said.
"Chris was very understanding and is willing to give living in Los Angeles a chance because he’s always loved the city."
The move is said to come after Coldplay's planned year hiatus to concentrate on spending quality time with their families.
