Dave Grohl has denied that that Foo Fighters will be taking a break from music following his comments at last weekend's Reading festival.
The band headlined the three-day event on Sunday night (August 26) with the frontman announcing to fans that the show would be their last for 'a long time'.
He told the crowd, "You guys realise we've got a lot of songs to play. It's the last show of the tour and it's the last show for a long time.''
As you can imagine the comment sent Foo Fighters fans into a frenzy with many taking to Twitter to beg the band not to take a hiatus, but Grohl insists he meant it would be Foo Fighters' last show in England for some time.
In a post on Twitter, he said: "Jeesh (sic)! Relax... I was only talking to England!! About England... Stop eavesdropping internets!"
During the three hour set, Grohl also took time to dedicate track 'These Days' to former bandmates Kurt Cobain and Krist Novoselic: "I'd like to dedicate this song to a couple of people who couldn't be here tonight. This one's for Krist and this one's for Kurt.''
This year's Reading festival also saw headline slots from Kasabian and The Cure along with the likes of Florence & The Machine, Odd Future and Paramore.
