Has Justin Bieber just become Simon Cowell’s number one enemy?
The international music star is now officially on board with U.S.A.’s X Factor, the rival of reality show for American Idol, as one of the celebrity mentors for judge L.A. Reid on the upcoming season, according to TMZ.
Bieber was brought on as one of four celebrity mentors, which are assigned to each of the four judges on the panel that include Britney Spears, Demi Lovato, L.A. Reid and Simon Cowell.
The 18-year-old Boyfriend singer is helping out Reid’s team this season, and on Monday, Bieber was spotted spending some time at a house in the Hollywood Hills to give inspiring singers in the music industry his best advice and tips to swooning fans all across the globe.
Following his visit where he shot footage for the upcoming X Factor episode, Bieber tweeted L.A. Reid, "long day but great day. @LA_Reid @ScooterBraun just like old times! Thanks.”
Cowell has had much problem bringing the cream of the crop of musical talent as mentors. Las season, he brought on Mariah Carey, Rihanna, Pharell Williams and Julio Iglesias.
But so far, it’s still unknown who the other three celebrity mentors will be in the upcoming season. U.S.A.’s X Factor premieres on Sept. 12.
