Whilst Nick Jonas is vying for a place on the American Idol judging panel, his brother Nick has already been welcomed into the reality TV fold after being asked by X Factor USA judge Demi Lovato to help her pick her finalists during the judges house round.
Claiming that Demi believes Nick is the right person to help her choose who to take through to the final stage of the show, the Mail Online reports a source saying:
"Demi and Nick go way back, Demi's pretty good friends with all the Jonas brothers and she even brought Nick out as a special guest on her tour recently.
"Demi knew Nick was a fan of the show and thought he would be into the idea and she was right."
Speaking about her role on the show in a recent interview with TV Guide, Demi, who dated Nick's brother Joe, revealed:
"I really feel like being the first young judge on any of these vocal competition shows is a lot of pressure, but at the same time, it’s great because I get to bring in a perspective from the audience that’s around my age.
"I was nervous at first because it’s not like I have the experience that LA, Simon and Britney have. But I know how hard people have to work to get to where they want to be, and I can spot somebody who has talent and who’s memorable and could be a pop star."
