Being no stranger to being in trouble with the law, Lindsay Lohan is going from person of interest to officially a suspect in a jewellery theft case in the US.
The 26-year-old has now made that transition in the eyes of the police as she’s could be responsible for the theft of $100,00 worth of sunglasses and watches, according to TMZ.
Last week, Lindsay was at a an all-night party at Sam Magid’s home in the Hollywood Hills where the Los Angeles Police Department were called by Sam to report a theft of jewelry. And Apparently, it wasn’t the first time the troubled actress had visited the house.
Lindsay and her assistant Gavin Doyle are now both suspects, according to the website’s police sources.
But the interest part: Sam has changed his story of the theft, stating that nothing was taken from his home. But according to the website, regardless of his recounts, the investigation will go on as police have sufficient witnesses who can account Lindsay and her assistant as the burglars.
LAPD detectives have contacted the Machete actress' attorney on Monday, asking to interview both suspects, but their attorney is not complying with the police’s request.
In February 2011, Lindsay was also considered a suspect and investigated by police as she walked out wearing a one-of-a-kind necklace from Venice Beach, Calif. and was eventually sentented to 120 days in jail.
