We’ve been seemingly unimpressed with Tulisa’s X Factor wardrobe over the past year and we haven’t been afraid to speak up about it, often claiming that the former N-Dubz star should ‘get a stylist.’
But now it has emerged that the ‘Young’ singer HAS a stylist, recently revealing that she wears whatever she likes and puts her own spin on her clothes.
After stepping onto the V Festival stage in two ghastly outfits last weekend, including an ill-fitting polka dot cropped bodice and a pair of sinful graffiti print pants, Tulisa has revealed that there is in fact a working brain behind her outfits (with sans logic) and has said that she ''hates’’ shopping so her stylist knows exactly what she likes.
The 24-year-old songstress, who nicknames herself ‘the female boss,’ told Capitalfm.com during an exclusive webchat that her stylist has to ''understand’’ the type of items that she likes and has no interest in labels or seasons so she can always put her own Tulisa stamp on clothes.
We think you should let the stylist take over, Tulisa. "I have a stylist that has to understand what I like to wear and get the stuff that I want," she confessed.
"It's complicated, for me I'm not so much into fashion, or labels, or seasons or what's in, I don't care."
"I just wanna wear what I like so if I say to her, I like being glamorous but I wanna be urban so you have to make that work for me. So she'll then maybe bring in a pattern that is this season which I wouldn't know anything about but make it urban,'' she added.
"I never like shopping, it bores the hell out of me," she said. "I'm actually a proper bloke when it comes to shopping.’’ You wouldn’t say…
She continued: "I hate walking around shops for hours on end - it does my nut in. My idea of shopping is just run in and say yeah I like that, I'm done."
We sense a bit of hubris from Tulisa which overpowered the voice of her stylist. We usually demand stars with bad taste to ‘sack the stylist!’ but it looks like Tulisa is the style sinning culprit.
