It's official; Sam Claflin is set to appear in the 'Hunger Games: Catching Fire' - wearing nothing but a fishing net...
The actor, who appeared alongside Kristen Stewart in 'Snow White And The Huntsman', has beaten the likes of Ben Walker, Tyler Hoechlin and Boyd Holbrook for the juicy role of Finnick Odair in the much anticipated 'Hunger Games' sequel.
Finnick, who is described as being charismatic and VERY good looking, is a pretty major character in the novel, so we imagine this will translate to the screen. He was a victor for District 4 in the annual Hunger Games of Panem - aged just 14 - and has become something of a celebrity in the Capitol by the time he is forced to return to the arena for the extra-special 75th anniversary of the deadly games.
Sam Claflin will be forced to wear a very revealing costume for the part, as Finnick arrives for the games wearing nothing but a fishing net (complete with some strategically placed knots!) - we have a feeling he's going to become a firm favourite with the ladies after that!
However, it is unclear whether Finnick will prove an ally or enemy to Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) and Peeta Mellark (Josh Hutcherson), who are more than a little wary of the handsome Tribute when they first meet. We guess only time will tell...
Sam Claflin will join Philip Seymour Hoffman, Jena Malone, and Amanda Plummer as one of the main new additions to the 'Hunger Games' franchise. And, of course, the cast of the first film are set to return; welcome back Liam Hemsworth, Stanley Tucci, Elizabeth Banks and Woody Harrelson!
