Tonight is the series finale of The Only Way Is Essex and the last time fans will see Lauren Goodger on the show, following news that the star is to leave Essex to appear on Dancing On Ice.
We reported a few months ago on the news that Lauren was going to be leaving Essex behind for the ice rink and now The Sun has reported that the reality TV star has come to a mutual agreement with TOWIE bosses to leave the show.
An insider claimed: "Lauren knows she is not an integral part of Towie any more, so she’s decided to jump ship.
"An opportunity to do Dancing On Ice came along and she's jumped at the chance."
Since joining the show, Lauren has seen her ex finance Mark Wright and fellow TOWIE stars Kirk Norcross and Amy Childs leave the show and appear in other reality TV shows including I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here and Celebrity Big Brother.
Dismissing the speculation, a rep for Dancing On Ice told us recently: "Any names linked to the new series are purely speculative."
Confirming that Lauren will be taking a break for the show but not confirming the reasons, a rep for TOWIE told us: "I can confirm that Lauren will be taking a break from the show and won't appear in the next series".
