Doctor Who fans will be chomping at the bit as new behind the scenes photo's have emerged revealing Matt Smith and his new co-star Jenna Louise Coleman filming scenes for the Christmas Special!
The Doctor Who circus has landed in Bristol and transported the capital city back in time to the Victorian era, and judging from the photos the crew have spared no expense in creating a realistic looking set with historically accurate buildings and costumes.
Matt Smith was snapped sporting a rather fetching looking top hat as he jumped in and out of horse drawn carriages and mucked about with fellow cast and crew members. Coleman seemed to be doing most of the physical stuff as she chased after the carriage down the snow littered cobbled street, quite impressive considering she was wearing a basque dress with a long frilly skirt and pointed boots.
In one photo we see a member of the crew going to great lengths to create a stereotypical Dickens-esque scene by pumping fake snow onto the ground.
The Christmas special will be written by Steven Moffat and stars veteran Brit actor Richard E. Grant as the villain.
Moffat has remained tight lipped regarding the plot details, however Whovians won't have too long to wait until the brand new seventh series of Doctor Who hits our TV screens later in the Autumn!
