Johnny Depp is taking on his next big role in life following his split from Vanessa Paradis - playing Jack Sparrow in 'Pirates Of The Caribbean 5' where he'll reportedly earn £60m from the movie, more than enough to support his two children.
According to The Sun, the 'Dark Shadows' superstar will rocket to the top of Hollywood's highest paid actors after he is paid for his role in the latest installment of the blockbuster franchise.
The massive pay packet will keep Johnny’s bank manager happy as he splashes out on supporting his two kids and ex – who he was with for 14 years but never married.
But is this a 'Pirates Of The Caribbean' movie too many, we wonder? We love Jack Sparrow, but how many more of these film can we handle?
A movie source revealed: “Johnny is being very careful he does not sign on for too many films.
“He doesn’t want to ruin his career with overexposure like John Travolta or Nic Cage did. This huge deal for Pirates means he will be able to pick his other roles very carefully on the strength of their script rather than their salary.”
With a reported net worth of $300m, we'd have thought he could do that anyway...
