Team GB will be riding high on the success of 2012 for a long time to come, and certain individuals are keen to capitalise on that success!
With recent stories suggesting that the BBC are hoping to snag the likes of Victoria Pendleton and Rebecca Adlington for Strictly Come Dancing, Simon Cowell wants to jump on the Olympic bandwagon too and has reportedly targeted Gold medal winning athletes Jessica Ennis and Mo Farah for spots on the X Factor.
Although not as judges, they would act as mentors for the acts providing pep talks and hopefully rubbing off a little bit of that winning magic on the hopefuls!
Speaking on Lorraine recently, Ennis who took home the Gold for the Heptathalon, spoke about the rumours, saying: "This is definitely news to me but it sounds like a brilliant idea. I'm a massive fan of X Factor so we'll see."
And would she do it if Simon asked her? "Well yes, definitely, I think it's a great idea, yes."
Adding: "Obviously before the Olympics I was just training so hard and making sure that I didn't miss anything so I had to turn a lot of things down and say 'No' to things that I would loved to have done at the time. And now I can just relax now that I've got this medal and I can enjoy myself a bit now."
