Earlier this year Robert Pattinson was rumoured to be going on a diet to lose a few pounds, but following his split from Kristen Stewart, the actor seems to be showing signs that he's quite insecure about his body.
The 'Twilight' actor, who has become one of Hollywood's hottest stars with screaming fans almost everywhere he goes all vying to just look at him, let alone touch – but, the British star seems to have issues with his appearance.
While talking about his latest movie 'Cosmopolis', Rob revealed that his biggest concern about shooting a sex scene was his stomach.
Talking to MTV First's Josh Horowitz, he said: "It becomes funnier [as you go along] as well. The mechanics of a sex scene, 'There's a climax' and stuff. You're trying to figure that out...That was my idea, the climax scene and saying, 'Do you find this interesting?' afterwards. We're doing it in one take, you have to figure out what to do. I'm trying to hide my belly."
Rob, who was rumoured to have had his abs painted on for a scene in Twilight's 'New Moon', might have enjoyed ice-cream during an interview with Jon Stewart on Monday, but he couldn't help counting the calories of cereal during an interview on Good Morning America.
When asked if he'd like to say anything to his fans about how he was doing following the Kristen cheating scandal, Rob laughed and turned to his fans at the window, before awkwardly looking at the cereal and saying: “They seem pretty excited about kind of whatever! Literally, you can be like, ‘I’d like my the fans to know that Cinnamon Toast Crunch only has 30 calories a bowl in it,’ for instance. Pretty much anything that comes out of my mouth is irrelevant.”
While many stars slim down, or fatten up for roles, Rob recently revealed that he went on an all-liquid diet for a shirtless photoshoot.
“I had to be shirtless for a photo shoot, so I asked a nutritionist what’s a diet in which you can still drink as much as you want. She said a liquid diet,” he told BlackBook. “I was so impressed with myself yesterday. I took a pee that was four minutes long.”
Why the calorie counting Rob? We know he's going through an awkward, and at times cringe-worthy interviews while promoting 'Cosmopolis', but let's hope he's not too hung up on a six-pack.
