Things are getting pretty nasty in the Kim Kardashian, Kris Humphries divorce and it's not just the couple who are fighting, their divorce lawyers seem to be at war as well.
The former couple's legal representatives Marshall Waller and Laura Wasser appeared before Judge Stephen Moloney on Wednesday morning in Los Angeles Superior Court and accused each other of being “uncooperative”.
The couple may have only been married for 72 days but it looks like their divorce could last for months, with Kris' attorney Waller claiming that the Kardashian camp haven't exactly been making his job easy.
"I don't want to use the word uncooperative, but they are not making the process easier," Waller reportedly told the judge during the hearing according to E! News.
He went on to claim that they have unsuccessfully obtained Kim's 'momager' Kris Jenner's business records, which he believes will prove the marriage was “fraudulent” on the reality TV star's side.
"I'm not going to depose Ms. Jenner until I get the business records," Waller said. "I'm trying to get information."
While Kris' lawyers were careful not to call the Kardashian's “uncooperative”, Kim's lawyers didn't mind venting their anger over the time the case has been taken to be resolved or the cost, with Kardashian already incurring $250,000 in attorney fees.
Wasser claimed that their side had been “more than” cooperative, pointing out that they had flown to Minnesota to get Humphries' deposition. "It's expensive," Wasser said.
"And I'm at a loss to figure out what the holdup is. They had a prenup and were married 72 days."
"To say I am frustrated is an understatement," she added.
Wasser questioned again why Kris was seeking an annulment rather than a divorce and claimed she wanted “every cent” that the case had cost her client, back.
"We are going to ask for every cent of those fees back from his client," Wasser told the judge. "To what end does he want this annulment?"
With the couple's year anniversary coming up it seems that they will be, legally at least man and wife for a little longer. Kim filed for divorce on the 31st October just 72 days after tying the knot.
A month later Kirs countered her request for a split with an annulment claiming that Kim entered the marriage for TV ratings. The lawyers will be back for another exchange on November 28, for a status conference as set by the Judge.
