Halle Berry has good friends in her time of need during her bitter custody battle.
Her friend, Salma Hayek, 46, will help persuade the judge that Berry's relocating to France is a must for the fellow actress and her four-year-old daughter, Nahla.
According to TMZ, Berry’s attorneys have filed a declaration from Hayek where she states how she’s experienced firsthand how France is a safer country for a celebrity to reside, because of the tough paparazzi laws.
In the filing, Hayek – –who’s married to French businessman, François-Henri Pinault, 50, and splits her time between the United States and France – tells the court that she resides part-time in the country with her four-year-old daughter, Valentina, and doesn’t have to deal with the paparazzi messes like the ones she faces in the U.S.
Berry – who’s engaged to French actor, Olivier Martinez -- is currently in a custody battle with Nahla’s father, Gabriel Aubry, 35, and wants to take her daughter to live in her fiancé’s native country.
On Wednesday night, Hayek and Berry had dinner with their French beau’s at Los Angeles restaurant to celebrate Halle’s 46th birthday and all walked into a paparazzi storm when they exited the eatery.
