Megadeth frontman Dave Mustaine has shocked fans as he claims that US President Barack Obama 'staged' the recent shooting in Colorado as part of his strategy to pass gun control laws.
Taking to the stage at a gig in Singapore on August 7, Mustaine claimed that the president wanted to turn the country into "Nazi America".
''Back in my country, my president is trying to pass a gun ban, so he's staging all of these murders, like the Fast and Furious thing down at the border in Aurora, Colorado," he said about the recent shooting at The Dark Knight Rises screening.
"All the people that were killed there and now the beautiful people at the Sikh temple [in Wisconsin]. I was talking to JD our promoter here tonight - what a great guy.
"I was saying I don't know where I'm going to live if America keeps going the way it's going, because it looks like it's turning into Nazi America. And he said move down here to Singapore!"
'The Dark Knight Rises' shooter, James Holmes has officially been charged with 142 counts including first degree murder following his horrifying massacre in Aurora, Colorado.
Holmes was charged with 24 counts of first degree murder, two counts for each of the lives he claimed on July 20.
The 24-year old was also charged with 116 counts of attempted murder, two counts for every one of the 58 people who were injured in the shooting, and counts of unlawful use of a deadly weapon and possession of an explosive device.
