For the third time this last year, Prince Phillip has been hospitalized.
Buckingham Palace confirmed Wednesday that the 91-year-old royal husband of Queen Elizabeth II was taken to the Aberdeen Royal Infirmary in Scotland as "a precautionary measure," but any other details of his condition or what led to his admittance to the hospital were disclosed.
He was brought to the facility during a stay with the queen at Balmoral. Back in June, The Duke of Edinburgh was hospitalized at the height of the queen's Diamond Jubilee celebrations for a bladder infection, and was released after a five-day stay.
Last Christmas, he was also treated in a hospital where he spent four days while undergoing emergency surgery after he suffered chest pains.
But in the meantime, the health scares haven't slowed down Prince Philip a whole lot, because earlier this month he joined the royal parachuting matriarch at the opening ceremony of the 2012 London Olympics.
