Demi Moore is reportedly getting ready to adopt a baby as a way to changed her life around following the estrangement from her three daughters and the breakdown of her marriage to Ashton Kutcher.
The couple split last November following allegations that the Two And a Half Men star had cheated on his wife of seven years. Since then Demi has struggled to get her life back to normal and after a stint in rehab in February has seen her relationship with daughters Rumer, Scout and Tallulah breakdown.
The girls have reportedly distanced themselves from the actress after becoming “fed up” with her “erratic behaviour” according to RadarOnline a move which has reportedly left her “lonely" and “yearning” to be a mum again.
“She really wanted to adopt a child with Ashton, but he wasn’t up to it,” a source told Star magazine.
“Now that she’s single and can make her own choices, she’s seriously looking into it.” But after a difficult year and her 50th birthday approaching in November friends are said to be worried it's not a good idea.
“With the state of mind she’s in, the last thing Demi needs is another child,” a friend stated.
“She feels abandoned, but she has to realize that she can’t just replace her own children by going out and getting new ones — it isn’t that easy.”
News that Ashton Kutcher has moved on with his long term friend Mila Kunis can't have helped her emotional state either. The couple, who recently jetted to Bali for a romantic break are said to be pretty serious about each other.
