Gary Barlow is said to still be grieving the loss of his baby daughter Poppy following the confirmation that the X Factor judge will not be attending the X Factor press launch tomorrow.
As the nation gears up for the new series, we'll be heading down to the launch tomorrow and whilst new judge Nicole Scherzinger, Louis Walsh and Tulisa Contostavlos will be in attendance and answering our questions, Gary will not be there.
Confirming Gary's absence at tomorrow launch, citing "personal circumstances", a rep for the show told the Mail Online:
"Due to personal circumstances Gary Barlow won’t be attending the press launch for The X Factor this week but he has been in touch with production to wish everyone well."
Speaking about the show in a recent interview, Gary who performed at the London 2012 Olympic closing ceremony with the rest of Take That on Sunday night, revealed that the 'Overs' category are the ones to look out for in the competition this year.
He said: "The category to watch is the Overs. The Overs category hasn’t been taken that seriously in the last few years but it has turned into the biggest contender this year. The standard is superb."
Believing that the talent has been "extraordinary" this year, Gary added:
"I think it’s been extraordinary this year. Everybody thinks so. I have even heard cameramen saying to each other that it’s such a massive improvement on last year. The standard has definitely gone up a few notches. I think the audience is going to love it."
