Russell Brand could be set to launch a whole new career after he performed at the Olympics Closing ceremony last night (August 12).
The comedian shocked fans with his vocal skills as he debuted his singing talents during the closing ceremony which features The Spice Girls, Muse and many more.
Russell rode into the arena on Pink and yellow bus. Dressed as a Willy Wonka character he burst into song for 'Pure Imagination' before singing the Beatles’ I am The Walrus.
As you can imagine reaction from viewers was a mixed one. With some fans loving Russell's vocal talents and others not so keen.
@Greer_Grammer tweeted: ''......why did Russell Brand get to open up with Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory? That's not okay. It's just, no. No. No.''
@SecondCaptains was also not a fan: "Russell Brand singing The Beatles may have just ruined the Olympics ''
Others however saw the funnier side of the performance, @Schullerinc said: ''So proud of @rustyrockets you were amazing. Love you x ''
@JoshPorter added: ''Russell Brand is so funny!!! #ClosingCeremony''
What did you think of Russell's singing? We're not sure he'll make it as a chart-topper!
