Mitch Winehouse has taken to Twitter to reveal that his daughter's former husband Blake Fielder-Civil 'is pulling through' after he was left in a coma following a drink and drugs binge earlier this week.
Blake Fielder-Civil, was found choking in bed by his partner Sarah Aspin last Friday before being rushed to hospital with multiple organ failure.She said at the time that he was believed to have taken an illicit substance.
Writing on Twitter, Mitch said: "It looks like Blake is going to get through this. That's good news."
He later added: "I am not supporting Blake but I am praying for his recovery."
Blake has been in an induced coma and on a life-support machine in hospital in West Yorkshire since reports broke on Tuesday morning (August 7).
Earlier in the week Mitch, who lost his daughter last July, tweeted his shock at he news: ''Terrible news about Blake this morning. Remember Amy loved him. Let's pray for his recovery. Mitch''
Fielder-Civil, who has long battled heroin addiction, married the late singer Winehouse in 2007 before the pair divorced two years later.
