Kate Middleton looked radiant as she took to the water in Weymouth to cheer on Irish sailor Annalise Murphy in the Laser Radial medal race.

The Duchess was dressed in a stylish sailing jacket emblazoned with the Team GB logo, and was joined on her royal boat by champion rower Sir Steve Redgrave and Princess Anne. Cheering on the Olympic team, she watched the race armed with a pair of stylish Givenchy sunglasses to protect her from the blazing sun (yes, really!)

Kate watched the tense race through an enormours pair of binoculars, with a huge grin on her face as Team GB raced to the forefront.

Annalise missed out on a medal, coming fourth in the race, but we guarantee the sight of Kate will have cheered her up no end. We've become used to seeing Kate in an array of formal outfits so it was great to catch her dressing down in waterproofs!

After watching the race, windswept Kate headed back to dry land, and chatted to a host of Team GB stars - including gold medal winner Ben Ainslie.

Talking animatedly and sending the team into fits of giggles, the Duchess was reportedly interesting in everything from their medal hopes to training and support staff.

Continuing her run of Olympic outings alone, the Duchess flew solo to watch gymnastics and handball events at the Olympic park too, while she has also been spotted watching the swimming, tennis, hockey and cycling.

Looks like she loves the Olympics almost as much as we do!

Kate and Wills were there to cheer on family member Zara Phillips too...awww!
