Robbie Williams has joined a host of musicians offering their sympathies to Gary Barlow and his wife Dawn, after he announced that their daughter Poppy was stillborn on Saturday.
Last night (August 7), the Take That star released a statement saying "Dawn and I are devastated to announce that we’ve lost our baby.
''Poppy Barlow was delivered stillborn on August 4th in London. Our focus now is giving her a beautiful funeral and loving our three children with all our hearts. We’d ask at this painful time that our privacy be respected."
Williams, who is expecting his first child with wife Ayda Field next month, took to Twitter to send his love and thoughts to his close friend Barlow.
''My thoughts are with Gary, Dawn and family right now x", he wrote.
"My Love, thoughts and prayers are with @GBarlowOfficial and his family at such a difficult time.. .xx ," tweeted Harry Styles.
Fellow The X Factor judge Tulisa Contostavlos has said "My thoughts & prayers are with @GBarlowOfficial and wife dawn tonight. Heartbreaking x"
While, The Saturdays' Una Healy tweeted: My thoughts and prayers go out to @GBarlowOfficial and his wife and family such sad news RIP Poppy x,".
The Take That star announced earlier this year that they were to welcome their third daughter in 2012. They revealed the sex of their baby back in April.
The couple, who wed in 2000, are parents to Daniel, 11, Emily, nine, and Daisy, three. Barlow was the first of three Take That band members to reveal that they were due to become parents this year.
Robbie Williams and his wife Ayda Field are expecting their first child while Mark Owen welcomed his third child Fox India last month. Our thoughts are with Gary and his family at this sad time.
