You would think that Coldplay would test their new material on some music critics or record label bosses but Chris Martin has revealed that he tests the band's new material on his children.
So it seems the success of their recent hit 'Pirncess of China' was all down to his 8-year-old daughter Apple and 6-year-old son Moses who heard the track for the first time around the family breakfast table.
"Kids are very honest - if they start singing a song it's because they like it. It's a great gauge," Martin told The Sun.
Martin also added that he relies on his children to keep him grounded and bring him back to reality after the band's massive stadium shows.
"When we played Wembley Stadium I was like, 'Wow, now we are big rock stars', but next morning the kids were saying, 'Get me some pancakes'."
