Sharon Osbourne's Discrimination Claims Denied By NBC

Star quit America's Got Talent over claims that NBC axed her son Jack

TV network NBC have strenuously denied the claims made by TV personality Sharon Osbourne that her son Jack, who has publicly revealed that he suffers from MS, was axed from a new show due to his illness.

Making the claims after confirming that she had quit America's Got Talent, Sharon told the New York Post: "I just can't be fake. It's discrimination, and it was badly handled."

Reacting to the claims made by Sharon that Jack was axed from a new NBC show, Stars Earn Stripes - a show which involves contestants taking part in "dangerous water stunts, strenuous physical activity, and uses live ammunition" - the PA reports NBC Entertainment chairman Bob Greenblatt saying that the network "does not discriminate on any basis".

Adding: "Jack Osbourne was offered two alternative roles on the show but declined both.

"We have the deepest affection for Sharon Osbourne and consider her to be part of the NBC family," Mr Greenblatt said. "And our hearts go out to her, Ozzy, Jack and his family at this time."

Sharon Osbourne's rep has been approached for comment.
