Victoria Beckham, who is near-sighted, launched her own range of designer spectacles today in partnership with Cutler and Gross.
The mum-of-four admits that, even though she needs to wear them, she never goes out in glasses because she can never find any that suit her.
What's a fashion designer to do when faced with such a dilemna? Well, design her own of course!
Speaking to WWD, Victoria said that "I do need to wear glasses but I haven’t found glasses that suit me or that I particularly like."
"I've always been quite self-conscious, so that's why I've decided to do them myself."
Six new styles will go on sale at Silmo Paris from January 2013, and will cost between £295 and £340. The range will include large dark frames and aviator styles, and will feature both feminine and unisex looks.
Each piece is handcrafted in Italy, and the end of each arm features a distinctive 'V' tip.
Apparently, Victoria and David are particularly keen on a set of heavy squared frames. We'd love to get our hands on a pair!
Mrs B says she's looking forward to wearing her range when she's out and about: "it'll be nice to see where I'm going for once.'
Maybe she'll crack a smile now she can see where she's going!
