Elton John unleashed a tirade of abuse against Madonna branding her the C word and insisting her career is over and it seems that fans have backed his claims.
The ‘I'm Still Standing’ singer has never been a fan of Madonna, so when she accused Lady Gaga of stealing her song Elton certainly didn't hold back.
When on an Australian TV Elton called Maodnna a‘nightmare’ and admitted he was glad her recent tour was receiving bad reviews, reports The Sun.
“Sorry, her career is over," he said. "Her tour has been a disaster and it couldn't happen to a bigger c***. If [she] had any common sense, she would have made a record like Ray of Light and stayed away from the dance stuff," he added.
"[She should have] just been a great pop singer and [made] great pop records, which she does brilliantly. But no... she looks like a f**king fairground stripper. She's been horrible to GaGa.”
As you can imagine fans of both stars have taken to Twitter to have their say on the issue and to our surprise most of them were on Elton's side.
One Night Only's George Craig tweeted: ''Elton John on Madonna: 'She's a fairground stripper and her career is over AWKWARDDDE!!!!''
While Ryan Carlos added: ''Elton John called Madonna a fairground stripper whose career is over... I see no lies detected there tbh.''
