We do love David Hasselhoff! The former Baywatch actor has now likened his shortlived music career to that of Bruce Springsteen's.
His music career, though not a massive hit in the US and UK, was big news in Germany and Austria, where they sold so many copies he received gold records.
David even performed his hit 'Looking for Freedom', at the Berlin Wall in 1989.
"I want to do the music I want to do. In Germany, I was singing everything from ? 'I've Been Looking For Freedom!' Which is a big anthem and huge hit. Kind of almost a Bruce Springsteen?" he told The Guardian.
Hasslelholf also added that he was proud of his time in Baywatch and says people may joke about it but it deserves its place in the history books..where you watching the same thing as us?!
"Maybe it's not curing cancer," he said, "but it's about saving lives, about heroes, and good-looking people and women in bathing suits and what's wrong with that when you're at the beach and the weather is the way it is?"
