The hit ITV1 period drama Downton Abbey is set to get a tad scary following the news that 'Twilight: Breaking Dawn' actress MyAnna Buring will be joining the cast.
Whilst many actors and actresses go from the small screen to the big, MyAnna, who played vampire Tanya in the first part of 'Breaking Dawn', will be doing the opposite when she appears in the Christmas episodes of the show.
According to the Sunday Times, the star will play a feisty servant called Edna.
Speaking of her role as Edna, MyAnna said: "You couldn't get two projects more different. I was thrilled when the Downton offer came."
We can't wait to catch MyAnna on the show.
Whilst MyAnna is happy with her offer, the Mirror reports the Downton Abbey bosses are worried that the actresses on the cast may ditch the period drama for Hollywood.
An insider claimed: "They’re being advised to look at all the offers on the table and if the right job comes up then they won’t return. They have to think about their careers first and they were not on great contracts with Downton.
“The agents they’re with know they can achieve more money. And they also know that the girls are young and need to take advantage of the position they’re in. There is life outside Downton...The show realises they’re probably going to have to fork out a lot more money to keep people on. And it’s not like they can recast the same characters now.
“So if they do return then it’s likely to be for a lot more money.”
