Conor Maynard has revealed that he gets overwhelmed by some of his fans as they can be a little too intense at times. The singer revealed to the Daily Star that some fans wait outside his house and throw their underwear at him!
The 18-year old admitted that at times he doesn’t like the attention as he is unable to have his privacy, it's even making him consider relocating.
The ‘Vegas Girl’ singer also revealed that he never believed fame would bring that kind of attention and that he wrote 'Can’t Say No' to make fun of the stars that said it did.
“When I wrote my first hit 'Can’t Say No', I was taking the mick out of pop stars who were surrounded by screaming girls. But that’s the reality of my life now, and it can be pretty full-on at times.”
“There are some fans who camp outside my house, and that’s a bit much. It makes me think I might have to move house, and that’s a shame.”
He went on to describe the crazy antics of some of his female fans: “When I read interviews with pop stars saying they had underwear thrown at them, I used to think: ‘No way does that happen in real life.’”
“Well, it turns out it does – and a lot of those undies have phone numbers written on them, too. That’s hilarious, but it won’t stop me being focused on making the best music I can.”
There goes those knickers with our number on them then…what a waste!
