It's been a couple of weeks since Kristen Stewart's steamy affair with married director Rupert Sanders was revealed and now as the dust settles, some online commentators are starting to question the "momentary indiscretion".
As the full photos from Kristen's secret rendezvous with Rupert are revealed, some fans have taken to twitter to slam the pics, calling them staged and part of an elaborate set-up. In the photos Kristen is seen kissing Rupert, her director in 'Snow White And The Huntsman', in a steamy encounter at an LA beauty spot on July 17.
As the 22-year-old actress gazes out on the landscape at a (supposedly) secluded stop-off Rupert is seen nuzzling her neck and wrapping his arms around her. Dressed in jogging bottoms and a white vest top Kristen then leads Rupert back to her parked Mini Cooper where they continue their make-out session inside.
Through the window they can clearly be seen passionately kissing, whilst at one point Kristen appears to show off her biceps.
It was these pictures, first published in US Weekly two weeks after they were taken, that marked the end of Kristen's long-term relationship with Robert Pattinson. Whilst Rupert's understanding wife is said to have forgiven her philandering husband, Rob has reportedly moved out of the love nest he shared with Kristen and is seeking solace at the home of his friend Reese Witherspoon.
Now the full pictures have been published online, some fans are starting to question the affair. Twitter users have pointed out that in some of the photos both Kristen and Rupert appear to look directly at the camera, whilst others have speculated as to why the normally private Kristen would dream of conducting the affair in such a public spot. One tweeter, @Adanyahh sums it up by saying:
"Those Kristen Stewart photos looked staged as heck. They planned this, all three of them."
Whilst @itsDBE comments:
"The Kristen Stewart/Rupert Sanders pictures look staged, at times they look at the camera. Wouldn't be surprised if it was a publicity stunt"
Other bloggers are speculating that the whole affair was contrived to drum up massive publicity for the final Twilight film with one box-office analyst insisting the cheating scandal will do nothing to dampen Twi-Hards appetite for the new movie. According to the Huffington Post, Paul Dergarabedian of Hollywood.com says:
"The fans are so romantically tied to this movie in both the real-life romance and the on-screen romance, so I'm sure this is hitting them pretty hard,"
"They think of Bella and Edward and Kristen and Rob like family – characters they absolutely love on screen and in real life. For a 14-year-old girl, this is probably heartbreaking. But are girls not going to see the movie because of this? Heck no. They might go just so they can be even more mad at Kristen."
