Tom Cruise needs a bit of peace and quiet, especially since his public split from Katie Holmes, and apparently the Hollywood star is looking for a retreat in Italy, and is eyeing up George Clooney's beloved villa.
The 50-year-old, who has one daughter with Katie, has reportedly been looking at a medieval castle just 100 miles from Rome but Clooney is keen for the actor to buy his home on Lake Como.
Clooney has been enjoying his time in Italy with girlfriend Stacy Keibler, having spent several weeks there this summer.
But now according to The Sun, George is hoping to spend more time in Salerno, in the south of Italy because his girlfriend Stacy is said to be not a fan of the lakes near the capital.
The newspaper reports that the two Hollywood titans are trying to "strike a deal" over Villa Oleandra.
Tom was recently said to be buying a new pad in New York so that he could spend more time with his six-year-old daughter Suri. He recently took the six-year-old to Disney World in Orlando.
