In tonight’s episode of Big Brother, pals Deana and Sara argue over Sara’s credibility on her knowledge of politics.
Sara has been discussing politics with some of the housemates and says: “With all parties I agree on certain aspects.” and that she loves Question Time and watches it every week.
But when Deana starts to quiz her views, Sara becomes defensive. When Sara won’t tell Adam which party she last voted for, Deana says: “You won’t put yourself on the line and say who you voted for.”
Sara becomes quite irate and she tells Deana that she doesn’t wish to discuss politics (despite her talking about it for over an hour...) Deana replies: “If you’re going to feel strongly on something tell me why.”
Sara snaps back with “You’re asking me the same question 100 times... Politics is not straight cut.”
Deana insists that she isn’t having an argument and has a surprise supporter, Ashleigh, who says to Sara; “Deana’s asking you a question about something and you can’t give an answer for it... I agree with Deana 100 per cent."
After the argument has diffused, Deana vents her frustrations to fellow “soldiers” Luke S and Adam in the garden. She asks them “Would you talk about something you felt strongly on if you don’t know all the facts on it? I’d feel embarrassed to keep discussing it if I did.”
The boys agree with her and she declares “I’m not gonna hold back on anything now. F**k it I’ll say what I think, [even] if that makes me get voted out, I know I’m not gonna win anyway.”
The argument is the last straw for Deana who confesses “I can’t listen to people’s crap anymore...At the end of the day soldiers, if you two weren’t in here I’d be completely f**ked.”
Sara also reflects on the row with Becky, Scott and Ashleigh in the kitchen. Sara admits “I generally don’t know how to talk about it (politics). I don’t know what to say, it could be wrong.”
Ashleigh asks if her most valued friendship in the house is still with Deana, as Sara had said so in a previous task. Sara replies “Definitely not.”
