She's been known to squeeze into skimpy outfits for film roles, but Kate Beckinsale has revealed she hates to wear underwear because it is far too restrictive.
The 'Total Recall' actress told Maxim that she finds undergarments to be too constraining for everyday wear, reserving them for special occasions that demand a sensible dress code, such as, err, mountain climbing.
She told the magazine: "I don't wear knickers. I mean, unless I'm wearing a very short skirt - or maybe if I'm going on a mountain expedition with extra layers." Ooh err!
Kate was quick to add that going commando wasn't her only talent, adding:
"Apparently, I'm very good at firing a gun without blinking, which is unusual... that's why so many action characters have to wear sunglasses during shootout scenes. That's my party trick."
Beckinsale stars with Jessica Biel and Colin Farrell in the upcoming remake of 'Total Recall', opening on August 3 in the US and August 29 in the UK.
She certainly wasn't climbing any mountains at the film's recent premiere, looking fantastic and fearless despite the lack of underwear...
